• When will the Northern Colorado Youth Orchestra begin rehearsing?

  • Our first semester this year runs from September 8th through January 17th, 2024

  • Our second semester this year runs from January 22nd through May 1st, 2024

  • We will have a third semester for Chamber only this year in preparation for our Carnegie Hall Performance, which runs from May 6th through June 24th, 2024

  • Our dates for the 2024-25 Season are as follows:

    • Fall Semester: August 26th through January 15th, 2025

    • Spring Semester: January 20th through May 7th, 2025

• What time will each group be rehearsing?​

  • The Chamber Orchestra will be rehearsing from 5-6pm​

  • The Chamber Quartet will be rehearsing from 6-7pm in another room

  • The Concert Ensemble will be rehearsing from 6-7pm

  • The Concert Quartet will be rehearsing from 7-8pm in another room

  • The Apprentice Ensemble will be rehearsing from 7-8pm

  • Our times for the 2024-25 Season are as follows:

    • The Symphony Orchestra will be rehearsing from 6-8pm in Boomer Hall A

    • The Chamber Quartet will be rehearsing from 6-7pm in Location TBD

    • The Concert Ensemble will be rehearsing from 6-7pm in Boomer Hall B

    • The Concert Quartet will be rehearsing from 7-8pm in Location TBD

    • The Apprentice Ensemble will be rehearsing from 7-8pm in Boomer Hall B

• What day of the week will rehearsals be held?​

  • Rehearsals will be held on Monday evenings from 5-8pm​

  • One month prior to each concert, we also rehearsal on Friday evenings from 5-8pm

  • For the 2024-25 Season, rehearsals will be held on Monday evenings from 6-8pm​

• How many concerts will the orchestra have each semester?​

  • We will aim to have one concert per semester for our 2023-24 Season 

  • The 1st Semester Concert will be on January 17th at TVHS

  • The 2nd Semester Concert will be on May 1st at TVHS

  • These concerts will be in-person and audio recorded

  • For the 2024-25 Season:

    • The 1st Semester Concert will be on January 15th, 2025​

    • The 2nd Semester Concert will be on:

      • April 30th for Concert and Apprentice Ensembles and all quartets

      • May 7th for Symphony Orchestra

• Where does the orchestra rehearse?​

  • We have a large, socially-distanced space at Zion Lutheran ​Church in Loveland, CO

  • For the 2024-25 Season, we will be relocating to the CSU University Center for the Arts

​

• What is the cost for tuition?​

  • Paid monthly, tuition is $100 per month for each large ensemble

  • Paid monthly, tuition is $50 per month for each small ensemble

  • Paid in full, tuition is $400 per semester for each large ensemble​

  • Paid in full, tuition is $200 per semester for each small ensemble

• When are auditions due for the 2024-25 Season?

  • Preliminary Auditions are due by July 12th, 2024

  • We will be accepting auditions throughout the season after these dates to fill positions as needed
